SEND

At Anderton Primary School, we believe that each pupil has individual and unique needs. However, some pupils require more support than others. To ensure all pupils achieve their full potential, we plan accordingly to remove any barriers to their achievement.

At our school we provide all pupils with strategies for dealing with their individual needs in a supportive environment and to give them a meaningful access to the National Curriculum.

If you would like more information about our SEND provision, please contact Mrs Laithwaite, our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co – Ordinator (SENDCo) via the school.

Parental Opinions and Pupil Voice

At Anderton, we value the opinions of our parents and carers and of course the children! The results of our most recent survey are below.

Graduated Response

In school we follow the ‘Graduated Response’ to supporting all children who have additional needs. Through this process we:

  • Assess the children
Find out which areas they need support with
  • Plan
Put a targeted support of intervention in place
  • Do
  • Carry out the intervention for a set amount of time
  • Review
Complete an evaluation of the impact the intervention has had on the child’s progress.
