School Meals

The meals at Anderton Primary School are cooked fresh every day on the premises by the cook Mrs Laura Horne and her team under the management of LCC. The cooks in our Dinner Centre get to know the children individually and ensure that they are provided with their preferred choice.

The meal choices are changed every term to allow for a variety. There is always a choise of at least two hot main meals a pudding/yoghurt, bread and butter, cut up fruit and an assortment of salad items. 

Online Payment for School Dinners is via School Spider App 

• The menu is diplayed on the App and we ask parents to preorder lunches a week in advance.
• A meal costs £2.50 per day and must be paid in advance through School Spider.
• If children are absent from school and a meal has been ordered and paid for, payment will be credited to the account.

Packed Lunches

Children may opt to bring a packed lunch, which is eaten under supervision. All drinks and liquids must be brought in a safe container and no fizzy drinks please. We are a nut free school and would ask that parents consider healthy options as per the Healthy Eating Policy.  Children can change from packed lunches to hot dinners by ordering lunches through the App a week in advance. 

Theme days

We also have themed days, where the children who are usually on a packed lunch can have a hot meal just for one day. These successful meals have included Hallowe’en dinner, Bonfire dinner, Christmas dinner and a Mexican dinner.
