Year 2 2024 - 2025

Welcome to Year 2

In Year 2 the class teacher is Mr O’Donohoe and the teaching assistants are Mrs Smith and Mrs Cross

We are set to have a fantastic year.  Please download our long term plan and medium term planning to see all the amazing things the children will learn in Year 2.

Our class page will keep you up to date with important information that you need to know and celebrate the good work taking place in class.

Important dates for your diary:

Mr O’Donohoe will teach the children every day.

Mrs Laithwaite will teach the children every Monday morning.

PE will take place on Thursday and Friday so please make sure the children bring their P.E kit to school this day; they can wear outdoor or indoor P.E. kit depending on the weather.  See the uniform section of the website for more information about the P.E kit.

Homework must be returned to school on Thursday and will be sent home on Fridays.

Please make sure your child brings their reading book to school every day.  Reading books can be changed everyday and the children are expected to hand them in once they have finished reading their book.  Don’t forgot you can access lots of books using Oxford Reading Buddy.
